Grant Description

the Chinese Ministry of Commerce granted K4 million in aid for the Fourth Phase of the Mt. Hagen Agriculture Technical Cooperation Project in Papua New Guinea. China's team is being led by Guan Shihuai and is composed of 7 agriculture experts.

The project will provide technical advice and teach modern farming techniques for dry rice to local rice farmers at the Hagen Agricultural College in the Western Highlands Province. The project hopes to diversify local food crop production. K4 Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
